Manuka Design is the home site for Website Designer and Developer, Kerry Nisbet. After several years of both studying and contract web development work I have decided to go it alone and set up Manuka Design. This way I will have more choice over the work I do and can develop my skill base into areas of interest.
I chose the name Manuka Design to reflect my own passion for the outdoors and hope to reflect this feel into my design work and some of the clients I attract. Currently I am excited about using AJAX which lends itself to more content rich and interactive site design. Also I have recently started tutoring some students at Discovery One School which I am finding both a challenging and fun way to pass on some of my accumulated knowledge - I'm sure as time passes they will be teaching me a thing or two as well...
My speciality is in using Open Source Content Management Systems (CMS's) such as Drupal, Wordpress, Ubercart and Silverstripe to implement my clients needs. By using a CMS the client is able to easily edit much of the content themselves which saves them much time and money. I have worked on modules for many of these systems and am currently working on an AJAX image module for Silverstripe.
